As pet parents, we know the importance of buying products for our pets that are pet-friendly but also pet-proof! We meticulously designed the SmartFeeder with smart pets in mind, and have made it as pet-proof as possible.
Built Pet Tough and Pet Safe:
We built the SmartFeeder to be tough and stable enough to withstand the regular wear-and-tear inflicted by pets. SmartFeeder is made from durable food safe plastics. The blend of materials used were chosen for their strength, flexibility and tolerance. Additionally, SmartFeeder was designed with a low center of gravity to minimize tipping or wobbling.
For your pet’s safety, SmartFeeder is made with BPA* free plastics, and the bowl is equipped with a stainless steel metal insert (which is dishwasher safe).SmartFeeder is also designed to be “Chew proof” for pets. Ninety percent of the external structure was engineered to be completely flat to help reduce the areas where your pet can chew on the product. Having trouble with a pet who likes to chew on cables? We also designed our power cord to be “Chew proof”, in an effort to keep your pets as safe as possible when interacting with the SmartFeeder.
Theft Proof:
To keep pets from sneaking additional food from the feeder beyond what is dispensed, the SmartFeeder has several features to keep food from being shaken or dumped out. SmartFeeder’s food repository can only be removed by rotating it in a clockwise direction and lifting it up. Additionally, the lid to the food repository has two latches that need to be pull out and lifted up in order to remove. Hopefully, your pets’ lack of thumbs will keep them out. With these pet proofing measures pet parents can rest assured, knowing that the food repository is secure.
Smell Proof:
In addition to keeping your pet’s out of the food, the lid on the food repository has a seal to keep the food fresh for your pet, but just as importantly, to keep the smell locked away.
* Bisphenol A (BPA) is a material used in some plastics. Some research has shown that BPA can seep into food or beverages from containers that are made with BPA. Exposure to BPA is a concern because of possible health effects of BPA on the brain, behavior and prostate gland of fetuses, infants and children.
