How Do I Charge The Smartfeeder?
SmartFeeder (2nd Generation)
The SmartFeeer is designed to remain plugged in at all times. There is a backup battery that will last for up to 8-10 hours should you have a power outage.
To ensure your SmartFeeder remained charged, plug the micro USB cord into the charging port located underneath near the back and bottom of the Feeder Base.
If you still are unable to get the unit to power on, please contact our Customer Support Team at support@petnet.io or at (855) 738-4650. We would love to help.
SmartFeeder (1st Generation)
The SmartFeeder (1st Gen) also has a charging port located underneath near the back and bottom of the Feeder Base. Since the battery lives in the bowl of the Smart Feeder (1st Gen) you may also plug the bowl directly for an hour to allow for up to 8-10 hours of feeding time.
Please take a look at our charging troubleshoots if you are having some issue with keeping your SmartFeeder powered on.
